    Watch Repairs Phoenix

Quantum Qarat is proud to offer the following jewelry services:

    Learn about Watch Repairs

A watch that has stopped is not necessarily a watch that is broken. More often it is a dead battery, a dry movement that has not been serviced in a decade, moisture that got past a perished gasket, or a crown that no longer seals. Each of those is a different job, and the first useful thing anyone can do is work out which one you have.

We service all watch brands, from everyday quartz pieces to mechanical watches that have been in the family for generations.

    What we handle

    • Battery replacement, with gasket inspection, resealing and pressure testing
    • Crystal replacement in mineral glass and sapphire, including scratched or chipped faces
    • Crown and stem repair or replacement where winding and setting has become unreliable
    • Bracelet and strap work — link sizing, pin replacement, clasp repair, fitting new straps
    • Case and bracelet refinishing on pieces that have picked up years of desk wear
    • Movement service and cleaning for mechanical and automatic watches

    Mechanical watches need servicing

An automatic or hand-wound watch runs on a train of tiny lubricated parts. Over the years the oils degrade and migrate, and the movement starts running dry — metal against metal, wearing components that were designed to be cushioned. The watch usually keeps running for a while, gradually losing accuracy, and then stops. The damage happens quietly during that period.

Most manufacturers recommend a full service every five to ten years. If your automatic is running noticeably fast or slow, has a shorter power reserve than it used to, or simply has not been touched in a decade, it is worth having looked at before something wears through.

    If it has been wet

Bring it in immediately, and do not try to dry it yourself with heat. Moisture inside a case will corrode a movement, and the difference between a same-week intervention and a month in a drawer is often the difference between a service and a write-off. Condensation under the crystal is the visible sign — and by the time you can see it, water is already inside.

    Bring it by

We will open it, tell you what is actually wrong, and give you an honest sense of what it costs to put right — including when the repair is worth more than the watch. Sentimental value is a perfectly good reason to go ahead anyway. We would just rather you decide that knowingly. Book an appointment.
